Day of the Dead Ashwork
Mood:  lucky

Topic: Obituary

Stone of Light Ashwork

Ripleys Believe it or Not 8th annual book (Sept.2011) has my, "El Padre" SOL Ash Work (page 33) with fathers ashes interred into my proprietary medium (Terastone) becomming Stone of Light Ash Work.

Ripley's museum in Hollywood, California will have the original work on permanent display November 1, 2011. How appropriate on the "Day of the Dead" which is what I created the "El Padre" work for as an alter piece with my relatives, friends and pet photos displayed as a memorial to them. Awesome being part of the Ripley's family of museums. I'm honored and so is my Father!

Your son, Daniel

The Phoenix Project

This work was truly a transformation re-created from the original damaged art work in transit by Fed Ex Ground. I've since changed carriers who package the shipment more throughly. They even use popcorn!

It was a wonderful opportunity for transformation and creativity. Below is the testimonial from the client after hanging her SOL Ashwork on the wall at home.

The Phoenix Project

I received my ashwork from Daniel a couple of weeks ago. I proudly have this art hanging over my late husband’s recliner in our living room.  This piece of work is so beautiful and special to me.  Daniel and I had a little trouble getting this one finished.  Without going into too much detail, I will just say that my husband David’s ashes like the Phoenix and has risen again.  Thus the reason Daniel has lovingly named this work The Phoenix Project.   Thank you so much for this artwork that I will forever cherish.   One very special part of the work is a piece of mirror that was used.  When I look at this I feel as though I can see through the mirror and into the soul of the painting and therefore feel like I am looking into the soul of my beloved David.  Cancer may have claimed him in body but I still have his spirit with me through this work.   Thank you again Daniel for your great talent.

I'm now working on a larger 24 x 48 SOL work for a beloved husband, father, and Rap musician.
